Cylinder head - removal



1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Remove the power steering pump and the roller pump belt tensioner (if provided).
4. Disconnect the wires from the candle and take aside with the bracket.
5. Disconnect the air ejection, remove the valve body (if present).
6. Remove the intake manifold.
7. bulkhead thermovacuum remove the valve with a bracket.
8. Disconnect the recirculation.
9. Remove the fuel pump (mechanical).
10. Remove the exhaust manifold.
11. Remove the cylinder head cover.
12. Establish the piston of 1st cylinder at top dead center of the compression stroke, and remove the camshaft sprocket (See above.).
13. Loosen the 10 cylinder head bolts, turning each bolt on 1/4 turns at one time. Release the screws in the sequence indicated (see photo). Remove the bolt and keep on hand in the order in which they were wrapped.
14. Remove the two small screws on the front cover.
15. Move the head light blows through the wooden prorate and remove.
16. Remove the gasket.
