The order of installation of the piston of 1st cylinder at top dead center of the compression stroke.

1. On the crankshaft pulley mark provided for the nomination of the piston 1 st cylinder at TDC of the compression stroke.
2. Installation of the piston (or pistons) to TDC of the compression stroke is an integral part of many procedures.
3. Move the gearshift lever to the neutral position. Disconnect the high-voltage wire of the ignition coil from the main output of the distributor cap and connect with the mass of the cylinder block.

3.5b The scale on the pulley (engine K24) 1. red mark 2. Scale for setting the ignition
3.5b The scale on the pulley (engine K24) 1. red mark 2. Scale for setting the ignition

4. Uncover the distributor and get on the cover of the position of the high-wire plug 1 st cylinder. If this conclusion is not numbered, define it on the wire from the spark plug.
5. Turn the crankshaft starter or key so that the mark on the pulley with the mark O on the scale. The normal direction of the motor -by clockwise (see photo).
5. When the slider indicates the mark on the valve housing, the piston 1 th cylinder is at TDC compression stroke. Otherwise tighten the crankshaft one full turn clockwise (360 ?) and establish the piston of 1st cylinder at top dead center of the compression stroke.
6. Now you can set at TDC of the compression stroke and the other pistons, turning the crankshaft by 180 ? and observing the order of cylinders.
