Check of level and density of a cooling liquid

Checking the coolant level in the expansion tank

Check of density of a cooling liquid in a broad tank

A warning

Never open the bonnet, when you see that from the engine compartment is steam or coolant flows - risk of burns! Wait until until no more steam escapes or leaking coolant.

Expansion tank engine cooling system is located in the engine compartment.

The coolant level can be correctly verified only when the engine is off.

The coolant level when the engine is cold must be between the min and max surge tank when the engine level may also be slightly higher than the max mark (see. Fig. Checking the coolant level in the expansion tank).

To check the density necessary to use a hydrometer to the coolant (see. Fig. Check of density of a cooling liquid in a broad tank).
