Changing the transmission oil Manual transmission

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Changing the transmission oil must be carried out in strict accordance with the schedule of routine maintenance of the car (see. Section routine maintenance schedule).
  2. Prepare a fresh supply of the required grade of transmission oil, drain capacity suitable volume, wrench and the appropriate size of clean rags / old newspapers.
  3. The oil must be collected, as a pre-heated during a short trip up to normal operating temperature - hot oil has a higher turnover and better washes away the sludge and other deposits. Warm the gearbox, driving the car on the overpass / post horizontally on the lift.
  4. Remove the filler / level plug Manual transmission housing (see. Section Checking the oil level).
  5. Remove the bottom of the sump box drain plug and drain the oil into the prepared container.
  6. After the oil leak stops, clean the drain plug, screw it on the regular place and tighten to the required torque (30 Nm), - do not forget to replace the washer.
  7. Filling fresh gear oil is produced through control / filler opening (see. Section Checking the oil level).

Each manufacturer uses in the manufacture of oil-based and own basic supplements - do not mix oils of different manufacturers!

  1. Take a short trip by car, after which check the drain and filler / level plug Manual transmission housing for signs of leakage.
