Check and belt force accessory drive



Schemes laying accessory drive belt are provided in Section accessory drive belt of the Head of Engine.

Checking the accessory drive belt

A - New belt
B - Depreciation of the walls - the edges are sharp (on new belts are trapezoidal)
C - the bare cord
D - Cracks in the back of the belt
E - detachment of rubber from the fabric base
F - Depreciation of external cord

G - The gap lateral cords
H - Transverse cracking ribs
J - Mechanical damage to the ribs
K - Cracking the individual ribs
L - space between the ribs Pollution / jam stones
M - Cavities in the rubber on the edges


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Evaluate the condition of each of the accessory drive belt.
  2. To probe the entire length of the belt, make sure there are no cracks and bundles. If necessary, flashing his flashlight, check the belt for scuffs and zapolirovat polished sections. The belt should be examined by both sides, which implies the need to twist him to check the status of the reverse side. Along the way, make sure there are no traces of corrosion, cracks and burrs on the drive pulley and the intermediate rollers. Defective belt must be replaced (see chap. Engine). Are allowed on the working surface of the belt perpendicular shallow cracks. If these cracks do not extend beyond one edge and not very deep, there is no need to replace the belt.
  3. While pushing the belt on a straight section in the middle between pulleys largest deflection vote right effort of its tension (see. Specifications of the Head Current leaving and service). If necessary, make appropriate adjustment.
