Check the air conditioning system
 | The air conditioning system is under high pressure. Do not attempt to loosen any connections or removing components without first discharging it in a specialized workshop. Even after the discharge of service components must be carried out in goggles! |
| - In order to guarantee serviceability of functioning air conditioning system regularly, try, at least once a year to carry out its comprehensive preventive examination:
- Check the condition of the belt drive compressor K / V (see. Section Check of a condition and effort of a tension accessory drive belt). If any signs of excessive wear or damage to the belt must be replaced (see chap. Engine);
- Check the condition of the lines of a refrigerator path - in the case of cracks, blisters and seal replace defective line. Do not forget to inspect the couplings for signs of leaks, - if necessary, tighten the corresponding socket / replace the faulty line;
- Inspect the surface of the heat exchanger located in front of the radiator. If necessary, clean the space between the plates it with compressed air or a soft brush.

- Make sure there are no signs of impaired patency of the drainage tube evaporator - when the air conditioner is out of the tube should ooze pure water. To check the patency of the evaporator tube sheet under the paper and turn on the air conditioner - after some time to appear on a sheet of traces of water.
- Try to activate the air conditioner at least once per month, regardless of climatic conditions - long-term non-use of R / B can lead to failure of the rubber sealing elements.
- Due to the complexity of the design of the system K / V implementation of the procedures for its diagnosis and reconditioning service specialist should be assigned.
- The most likely cause of the decrease in the efficiency of the system is the lack of refrigerant - Check the charging system.
- Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
- Turn the selection lever temperature control panel, ventilation / heating / air-conditioning the passenger compartment (see. Section ventilation systems, heating and air conditioning in chapter Controls and operation receptions) to the left (maximum cooling capacity). Another handle, select the maximum speed mode of functioning of the fan heater.
- Turn the K / B and make sure of serviceability of activation of the compressor for the rotation of the central section of the sleeve of his grip. Feel the inlet and outlet pipes of the compressor - one of them must be cold, the second - much to heat, otherwise, check the coolant level and, if necessary, to drive away the car in a specialized workshop.
