Check the bearing hub
A sign of failure of the bearing hub is an unusual noise when driving, starting only at a certain (high) speed. Check | - Release the handbrake.
- Raise the rear of the vehicle.
| - Check the hub bearing play by pulling and pressing the wheel on the front and back sides. There should be no noticeable backlash.

- Turn the wheel by hand. The bearing should rotate easily and evenly, while there should be no audible noise from the rotation.
| - In workshops axial play is measured with a dial gauge when removing the rear wheel on the brake drum. The bearing clearance must not have more than 0.05 mm, otherwise it must be adjusted or replaced.
