Removing and installing strut



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the wheel nuts from the car standing on the ground.
  2. Mark position of drive wheels in relation to the hub. Through this balanced wheel can be installed in its place.
  3. Lift the front of the vehicle.
  4. Remove the wheel.
  5. Support the front suspension of the wishbone that after removing the strut drive shafts do not sag down. To do this, install a wishbone suitable support or hydraulic lift.
  1. Remove the bracket -1- brake hose on the strut.
  1. 2 Loosen the nuts -2-, -3- finger pull and separate spring strut from the knuckle.
  2. Unscrew the 4 upper nuts -4- (up to 8/89 MY. Only 2 screws) and remove the strut spring strut complete. At the same time make sure that the rubber sleeve of the drive shaft is not damaged liberated bar. If necessary, wrap the cuff cloth.

In no case did not mean to weaken the shock absorber nut because the spring is under compression.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Enter an amortization rack from the bottom so that it came in the middle of the top support. The label on the suspension strut should be turned inward -k center car- .. If you do not, you can not adjust the correct camber.
  2. Screw the nuts onto the studs on the suspension strut top. Tighten the nuts with a torque wrench with a force of 30 Nm.
  3. Screw the knuckle to the strut.

Both bolt paste from front to back, the nuts will be placed at the rear. Tighten the nut with a force of 110 Nm.

  1. Get the brake pipe, put on the bracket to mount the brake hose.
  2. Screw the wheel, at the same time take into account the mark on the wheel and hub. Lower the car and tighten the nuts cross-wise with a torque of 100 Nm.
  3. As soon as possible to check wheel alignment and adjust if necessary collapse. See Section wheel alignment.
