Removing and installing the rear spring strut



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If necessary, remove the side trim in the cabin to get to the upper strut bolts.
  2. Loosen the nuts of the wheels of a vehicle standing on the ground.
  3. Change the position of the disc relative to the hub wheel to balance the wheel could be established in former position.
  4. Raise the rear of the vehicle.
  5. Remove the wheel.
  1. Only four-wheel drive: To unscrew a bolt -A-, which is fixed to the trailing arm beam suspension. Then loosen the screw -B- without unscrewing. If there is, additionally unscrew the air hose adjusting ride height on top damper.
  1. Remove the bracket -1- and release the brake hose holder on the spring strut.

Do not unscrew the brake hose.

  1. Support the support beam suspension or hydraulic lift so that it does not fall down when loosening strut.
  1. 2 Unscrew the nut -2- strut suspension on the beam and remove bolts -3-.
  1. Unscrew the two screws on the upper suspension strut and remove the spring strut -5.
  2. If necessary, disassemble the spring strut, see chap. Dismantling of a back amortization rack / removal and installation of strut / coil spring.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Insert spring strut, tighten the two upper nuts to 30 Nm.
  2. 2 Insert the bolt strut on the beam from front to back, tighten the nut with a force of 110 Nm.
  3. Remove from under the lift beam.
  4. Strengthen strut on the brake hose.
  5. Only four-wheel drive: Tighten bolts -A- and -B- to 70 Nm of torque. If you have a system of adjustment of ride height Screw the air hose on top of the shock absorber with a torque of 20 Nm.
  6. Screw wheel, while taking into account the mark on the hub. Lower the car and tighten the wheel nuts crosswise with torque of 100 Nm.
  7. If removed, install the trim on an amortization rack.
  8. Perform wheel alignment.
