PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Fold the lock plate the hub nut with a hammer and chisel.
  1. Unscrew the nut of a nave standing on the ground of the car. At the same time ask the assistant to press the brake pedal to the hub does not rotate. High torque, the risk of an accident!
  2. Loosen the wheel nuts.
  3. Mark the position of the disc relative to the hub wheel to balance the wheel could be established in former position.
  4. Lift the front of the vehicle.
  5. Remove the wheel.
  6. Drain the transmission oil, see. Chapter Introduction.
  7. Unscrew and remove the mudguard from the wheel arches.
  8. If present, unscrew stabilizer on the control arm, remove the bolt from the bushings and spacers.
  1. Unscrew the nut and remove the clamp bolt knuckle.
  1. Squeeze the ball joint of the thumb knuckle down with the mount. Lay fabric not to damage the cuff.
  1. Cars since 10/89 vol., Except models "versatile": Straighten the cotter pin and remove it. Unscrew the nut of tie rod and extrude the tip of the arm knuckle using a standard puller.

It does not damage the cuff.

  1. Set between the hinge and pry the gearbox case. Tilt mount and squeeze this joint. Do not pull the drive shaft, as the number of models at the same time can be stretched internal hinge.

On models with the intermediate shaft (DOHC engine 1, 9 l and / or all-wheel drive) right drive shaft should be pressing on the intermediate support. See. Section Removal and installation of an intermediate shaft.

  1. Press out the drive shaft from the hub using a standard puller or a hammer to knock a polymer.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before installation, check the seals for wear.
A - the working edge (new)
B - working edge (worn)
C - wheel hub or drive shaft,
D - gland
E - Grease.
  1. Worn oil seal if necessary, to remove. If you want to drill oil seal drill to screw a suitable screw screw and remove the screw with pliers gland.

When worn or defective gland check the rollers and bearing race for damage and replace if necessary.

  1. Coat a new oil seal and evenly to score a suitable pipe.
  2. Clean and lightly grease the threads and splines of the drive shaft.
  1. Insert the drive shaft by hand in the wheel bearing. Wear washer, install the hub nut and tightening it, pull the hub at the end of the drive shaft. The nut is not tightened completely.
  1. Insert the drive shaft with a new snap ring -strelka A splined gears in the transmission. The section of the locking ring when installing should be facing up. Score a drive shaft with a rubber mallet until it clicks -strelka B-. Slightly pulling and pressing to check whether the shaft clicks into place.
  1. Screw the knuckle and stabilizer control arm, see chap. Suspension and steering system.
  1. Insert element rod end to the knuckle, tighten the nut to 45 Nm and zashplintovat new cotter pin. If the pin is not inserted, tighten the nut to be a little, not weakened. Bend the ends of the pin.
  1. Pour gear oil.
  2. Screw the mudguard wheel arch.
  3. Screw the new hub nut, until the final tightening.
  4. Screw wheel, given the label on the hub. Lower the car and tighten the wheel nuts crosswise with torque of 100 Nm
  5. Tighten the hub nut standing on the ground of the car with a force of 240 Nm, while the assistant has to squeeze the brake pedal.
  1. Secure the hub nut. For this goal collar nut with a punch in the groove of the shaft.
  1. Measure the angles of the front wheels.
