Removal and installation of tie rod



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the wheel nuts standing on the ground of the car.
  2. Change the position of the disc relative to the hub wheel to balance the wheel could be established in former position.
  3. Lift the front of the vehicle.
  4. Remove the wheel.
  1. Loosen the tie rod end from the lever -A- knuckle -F-, for that remove the cotter pin and unscrew the locknut -E- -D-, lock nut -B-, -C- Tie Rod.
  1. Press out tie rod end puller -A- -C- standard. -B- Arm knuckle.
  1. Loosen the lock nut and unscrew the tip of the tie rod.

Mark the number of turns to screw the hinge during installation in the same position.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Screw the tie rod on the recorded number of turns lock nut is not tighten.
  2. Insert the hinge arm knuckle.
  3. To tighten the lock nut with a force of 50 Nm and secure with a new split pin. If the pin is not inserted into the hole, the nut does not loosen and tighten further until the pin locks into place.
  4. Screw wheel, given the label on the hub. Lower the car and tighten the wheel nuts crosswise with torque of 100 Nm.
  5. Slightly swing the car, sat down to the suspension elements.
  6. Check wheel alignment (performed in the workshop) and tighten the lock nut on the tie rod end with a force of 40 Nm.
