Dismantling of an amortization rack / removal and shock-absorber installation / a screw spring

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove spring strut.
  2. Remove the cap from the damper rod.
  3. The coil spring is compressed. To release the shock absorber spring must be compressed even more to relieve cup spring. To compress a spring suitable despreader.

Nut shock absorber can attenuate only when compressed spring.

  1. Clamp suspension strut in a vise and loosen the nut one turn with the help of the head end or severely bent ring spanner, do not unscrew.
  1. Compress spring standard despreader. In workshops MAZDA used for this special device. Compress the spring by approximately 10 mm.

Paste constrictor in the spring so that it is securely wrapped spring coils, and could not get off. Compress the spring in three positions evenly spaced around the circumference. Helical spring subjected to a large compression ratio, so you should only use a reliable tool. In no case do not bind the spring wire. Risk of accident.

  1. Unscrew the nut and remove the elements one by one strut.

If you want to replace the spring, it should slowly weaken. If, however, should only be replaced by the shock absorber, coil spring remains in the compressed state. Check damper see chap. Dismantling of a back amortization rack / removal and installation of strut / coil spring.
