Removal and installation of an intermediate shaft



All-wheel drive models and models with engines DOHC

Cars with engine DOHC 1,9 l and / or all-wheel drive are between the gearbox and the right drive shaft intermediate shaft, whereby the length of the drive shafts of both is the same.

1 - a lock ring
2 - an intermediate shaft
3 - gland

4 - gland
5 - the bearing
6 - intermediate support

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove right drive shaft.
  2. Unscrew the intermediate support on the cylinder block and disconnect the intermediate shaft of the gearbox, with the radial seal must not be damaged.
  3. If damaged bearings and seals and replace the drive out (carried out in the workshop).

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Insert the intermediate shaft and tighten the bolts in sequence to 50 Nm of torque.
  1. Install the right drive shaft.
