Removing and installing steering gear rubber sleeve

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the tie rod end.
  2. Loosen the clamps on both ends of the cuff. Compress clamps pliers, or unscrewing the wire clamps.
  1. Remove the rubber sleeve.

If the cuff has been faulty for a long time, it can be concluded that the mechanism has penetrated dirt. Dirt with grease acts as semolina pasta and destroys steering. In this case, as well as the presence on the rack rust, steering must be repaired (done in the workshop).

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lightly tie rod -C-.
  1. Slightly lubricate the inside of the cuff -B- -E- on the collar and pull on the tie rod -C-.
  2. Tighten the collar on the housing rack -A-.
  1. Twice a new wrap the wire around the cuffs on the steering mechanism and 4 - 4.5 times twist. Instead, you can also use a standard hose clamp with bolt.
  1. Fasten the cuff on the steering-drawn wire clamp.

Rubber sleeve should not be twisted.

  1. Install the tie rod end.
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Check toe-in and adjust if necessary.
