Removing and installing / adjusting a back door



MAZDA 323 10/89 vol.

Remove the parts in the sequence. Pre disconnect a cable of weight from the battery.

This data is erased from the memory of malfunctions of the engine or a protective code of a radio receiver. Before disconnecting the battery should read instructions in Section Removal and installation of the battery. After installing the battery, connect the cable weight and, if available, set the clock and set the security code radio.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the washer hose nozzle.
  2. Disconnect the plug. First remove the rear pillar trim and seat belt anchor.
  3. Mark installation position of a back door to this circle the bolts on the hinge marker.

If you want to remove the hinges must be removed first inner surface of the ceiling to get to the bolt.

  1. Support the door tailgate.
  2. Unscrew the gas-filled body from stress.

When replacing the gas-filled stops from the old lock before disposing of gas should be removed (this is done in the studio). The gas is colorless, odorless and non-toxic.

  1. Remove the bolts on the hinge and remove a back door. This requires the help of an assistant. Before loosening bolts hinges to put between the door and body tissue to protect the lacquer surfaces.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install a back door, screw bolts, align the door and tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
  2. Screw the gas-filled emphasis.

When fully extended focus not rotate piston rod and cylinder relative to each other.

  1. Wear washer hose nozzle.
  2. Connect the plug of the wiper motor and rear window defogger. Refit the rear pillar and the seat belt anchor.

Adjusting the door of a back

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the bolts on the hinge and tighten so that the door is still moving. MAZDA 323 is shown with 10/89 Vol. Adjust door according to the dimensions (in mm). On vehicles with a 9/85 on 9/89 MY. Align the door so that it is parallel and equidistant from the other elements.
  2. Tighten bolts or nuts hinges with a force of 10 Nm.
  3. Close the door of a back and check that the door closes easily and did not have a very large gaps. If necessary, adjust the locking plate.
  4. Loosen the two screws on the locking plate so that it is still moving.
  1. Close the door of a back and align the plate with the lock on the door of a back. Then tighten the bolts to 20 Nm.
