Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline

Proceed to perform the procedure only after the final cooling of the power unit.

The upper section of the intake duct (plenum)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Relieve the pressure in the supply system (see chap. The power supply system and release).
2. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.

If installed on the car stereo is equipped with a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

3. Remove the air inlet duct (see chap. The power supply system and release).

4. Remove the ignition coils (see chap. Electric motor). Mark and disconnect attached to the plenum and throttle body hoses and harnesses.

1 - brake servo hose
2 - Ignition coils
3 - Wiring the valve IAC / solenoid valve of turns of fast idling
4 - TPS / gauge-switch of the closed throttle position
5 - hose PCV valve
6 - a cable of gas / Tempostat
7 - Nozzles breather
8 - wiring harness
9 - Hoses cooling path

5. Remove the EGR pipe guide support arms and the upper section of the intake duct upper part of the rear pump chamber.

Access to rail EGR pipe and pipe support is extremely limited.

6. Working in the reverse order shown in the illustration, loosen the bolts of the top section of the intake pipe. Remove the pumping chamber with attached thereto the throttle body.

7. Before installing the top section carefully smooth out interfaced surfaces of the pipe and the upper pumping chamber. Completely removed from the surface traces of the old gasket and sealant, wipe them with a cloth soaked in solvent.
8. Put on the intake manifold studs new gasket (tag along) then the plant on top of the lower section of the pipeline upper pumping chamber and moving in strict order, tighten fixing bolts with demanded effort. The further installation is made in the reverse order of dismantle of components.

The bottom section of the inlet conduit

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the upper section of the pipeline.
2. Mark and disconnect all prevent the dismantling of the lower section of the hoses and wiring.
3. Remove the fuel line pipe with injectors of injection (see chap. The power supply system and release).

4. Operating in reverse order shown in the illustration, in several installments (by 1/4 of a turn for the approach), loosen the screws / nuts of the pipeline so that there was the possibility of a reversing them manually.

5. If the pipeline "has become attached" and can not be separate from the cylinder head, it Tap the hammer through a wooden block.

In no case the pipeline to hook the lever under the mating surface.

6. Carefully smooth out interfaced surfaces of the pipe and cylinder heads completely removing them from the traces of the old gasket material and sealant, and then wiped with a cloth soaked in acetone.
7. Install the new gaskets and pipe - track correctness of placing components on the mounting studs. Screw nuts.

8. In the strict order in several stages of the pipeline Tighten with demanded effort.

Efforts of a tightening of nuts differ from the efforts of a tightening of bolts.

9. The further installation is made in the reverse order of dismantle of components. Do not forget to fill the cooling system and change the engine oil (see chap. Adjustment and routine maintenance).
10. Start the engine and check for any signs of leakage of fuel, coolant and loss of vacuum.
