Removal, check of a condition and installation of the oil pump



PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the primary timing chain with asterisks (see. Section Removal, check of a condition and installation of a chain and sprocket timing).

If necessary, remove the assembly and the tensioner / guide the secondary circuit, thus ensuring adequate access to the pump.

2. Remove both sections of the sump (see. Section Removing and installing sump) and maslozabornuyu tube.

3. Remove the oil pump bolts to the front wall of the power unit.

4. Gently prying, lift the pump casing and carefully remove it from the guide pins on the block.

CHECK

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Use a large Phillips screwdriver remove the screws that secure the front cover of the oil pump.

2. Clean the internal components of the assembly in a solvent and inspect for signs of excessive wear or mechanical damage.

3. Remove the cover and remove the pump casing components of a pressure reducing valve. Estimate a condition of working surfaces of valves and springs. In case of defective parts, replace the entire set.

4. Use the stylus blade type a measurement of working backlashes of gear wheels of the oil pump. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. In the course of this review should be determined the following parameters:

a) The gap between the teeth of the inner and outer gears;
b) forming a gap between the outer surface of the gears and the housing;
c) Axial internal clearance landing gear
d) Axial backlash of landing of the outer gear;
e) Radial clearance landing serving the hub portion of the internal gear in the pump housing (calculated by subtracting the results of the two measurements.
When you exit any of the parameters of range of the pump assembly must be replaced.

5. Type in the internal cavity of the pump with petroleum jelly. Put into the body of the internal components, replace the cover and tighten the screws of its fastening. Replace the carburetors reducing valve, tighten the cap.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Assemble in the reverse order of removal. Do not forget to replace all seals. Trace. For flats in the hub of the internal gear pump properly entered into engagement with mating flats in the journal of the crankshaft. All fixture tighten with demanded effort.

Before installing the oil pan, replace the O-rings in the pump housing and the engine block.
