Check the power supply system, replacement of the fuel filter
 | Gasoline is highly flammable in, so when working with any components of the fuel system must take special precautions! Do not smoke, and do not go near the place of work with open flames or unprotected moving the shade. Do not perform such work in the garages equipped with heaters powered by natural gas (such as water heater, dryer, etc.)! The working area should be well ventilated. If any gasoline spills on your skin, immediately rinse it off with soap and water. When carrying out any work on the fuel system put on goggles and keep a fire extinguisher. In the event of spillage immediately wipe the puddle of gasoline, but do not hold the rags impregnated with gasoline in places where there is a risk of ignition it! |
Checking System | - If you smell fuel while driving or after the car stood in the sun, you should immediately check the condition of the entire fuel system.
- Remove the fuel tank cap and check for damage and signs of corrosion. Evaluate the condition of the sealing element of the cover. Defective components replace.
- Inspect the supply line and return fuel for cracks and deformations. Assess the reliability of a tightening of compression fittings in the fuel distribution manifold and integrated fuel filter.
- Hung out the car, check the fuel tank and the filler neck for the presence of holes, cracks and other damages. Particular attention should be paid to the junction of the neck with a tank. Sometimes fuel leaks occur due to attenuation of the neck fixing clamps, or because of aging of the rubber, of which the neck is made. Carefully review the state of the elements of fastening of the fuel tank, if necessary, make appropriate corrections.
 | In no case do not try to repair the independent exercise of the fuel tank (except for the replacement of its rubber components) - remember that contact contained in the fuel tank vapors with open flames of a gas burner will inevitably lead to ignition! |
- Carefully check the reliability of a tightening of all compression fittings Fuel hoses and metal lines coming from the tank. Make sure there is no deformation and aging of materials hoses. Replace defective components.

Replacement of the fuel filter Petrol models | - Relieve the pressure in the fuel system (see. Power supply systems, engine control / emission control and exhaust).
- Disconnect the electrical wiring from the fuel pump.
| - Disconnect the fuel filter gasoline pipe, unscrew the fixing bolts and remove the filter assembly to the mounting bracket.
- Release the filter holder and replace with a new one.
- The further installation is made in the reverse order of disassembly of components - make sure that the fixture has been tightened with demanded effort.
Diesel models Location of fuel filter in the path of the power supply system of the diesel engine The fuel filter is incorporated into the fuel feed line on the section between the fuel tank and fuel pump. Drain sediment | - Loosen the drain plug in the bottom of the filter element from the filter and drain all the crap, - wait for the beginning of the outflow of pure fuel.
- Tighten the cap and make the removal of the air filter.
Replacing the operating element | | - Disconnect the wiring from the sensor detector sludge.
| - With the right key, remove the operating element filter.
| - If necessary, remove the filter sludge sensor detector and check that its operation with an ohmmeter: the conductivity between the contact terminals of the connector should only take place in the lower position of the float. The sensor may be moved to a removable operating member.
- Wet fuel sealing ring, screw working element filter cover and tighten it by hand.
- Restore initial connection of electrical wiring and fuel, - track correctness of connection of hoses.
| - Loosen the vent plug and 7-8 times (prior to the release of fuel), rocking up and down the plunger, fill the fuel filter, - inside the filter should not be air pockets.
