Checking the shock absorber



The following symptoms indicate a defective shock absorber:

  • Prolonged body vibration during rough road.
  • Rocking Body under the following one after another rough road.
  • Lifting the front of the vehicle during acceleration.
  • Wheels bounce even on a normal road.
  • Failure of the braking system during braking (can have other causes).
  • Unsustainable cornering due to poor holding stake. "
  • Movement noises. Shock may be checked by hand. However, the exact damper test is only possible with the help of Shock-Tester (shock set) or a special machine to test the shock absorbers.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the shock absorber.
  2. Hold the shock absorber in mounting position, stretch and compress it at least three times. Shock to the full length of the course is to move uniformly hard and smoothly, moreover, should not be heard any unusual noise.
  1. Push the piston rod completely and then release. The plunger must advance back at a uniform rate.
