Adjusting the front toe

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The position of the wheels at a positive convergence, looking from above. The value -B- is at the front.
  1. Before adjusting the convergence weaken wire collars on rubber cuffs that they were not overwound. Loosen the lock nut on the tie rod and tie rod to adjust the rotation of the hexagon.
  1. When adjusting convergence should be noted that the distribution of the toe on left and right must be the same, it means that the rods must be turned out by the same amount. The maximum difference in length: 3 mm.
  1. Tighten the lock nut steering rod with a force of 40 Nm. Secure the rubber sleeve wire clamp.

Adjusting camber

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If the camber is outside the permissible area, under certain circumstances, it can be adjusted by rotating the shock absorber plate. To do this, loosen the 4 upper nuts (up to 9/89 MY .: 2 nuts) and turn the shock absorber mounting plate 180 ?, the label will be shown outside. The collapse of the change at the same time in the 29 '. Screw the mounting plate to the required torque, see chap. Suspension and steering system.

Adjustment of a convergence of back wheels

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Cars up to 9/89 MY. and models of "universal"
  1. The convergence of the rear wheels is adjusted by rotating the two cams on the rear wishbone. After adjustment, measure the distance from the poles to the eccentric drive wheel. Repeat the measurement of the other wheel. The deviation between the right and left sides may be a maximum of 3 mm.

After adjusting tighten the eccentric bolt by hand and lower the car on wheels. Only then tighten the bolts to the final torque of 110 Nm.

Cars since 10/89 vol., Except models "versatile"
  1. Adjust the rotation of the threaded rod toe on the rear wishbones, pre-loosening lock nut. One turn of the thread changes the convergence of 11.3 mm. Spread the adjustment between the two wheels. After adjusting tighten the lock nut with a force of 60 Nm.
