Check and replace located in the engine compartment hoses
| The replacement hose lines refrigerated K / V should be left to specialists Car workshop, the necessary equipment and of qualified, allows to make a safe discharge system. In no case do not disconnect any refrigerated line as long as the system is fully discharged! |
Overview
Under the influence of high temperatures that occur in the engine compartment of the car, the material laid inside the rubber and plastic hoses over time begins to break down. Regularly inspect all located under the hood hoses for cracks, signs of leaks, signs of hardening and weakening of the material compression fittings. Detailed information on checking the status of the engine cooling system hoses and heating the cabin is set out in Section Checking the status of the components of the cooling system.
To fix on the unions some, but not all, of the hose clamps used. Check tightness of hose clamps - weakening their attachment leads to the development of leaks. If the hose put on the union without a collar, make sure that the tip is sufficiently flexible for tight fitting crimping surface.
Vacuum hoses
| 1. Usually, all vacuum hoses, especially those used in the systems of emission control, marked color code, either in their walls fused colored stripes. The various systems of the thickness of the used vacuum hoses may have different requirements. Hoses should provide a different resistance to a collapse, temperature effects and other factors. Make sure to meet replacement hoses on the parameters taken from the car. 2. usually sufficient to reliably estimate the condition of the vacuum hose is possible only by removing it from the car. If you have to shoot more than one hose, take care of the pre-clear their labeling to comply with the correct connection of the assembly. 3. During the inspection of the vacuum hose, do not forget to evaluate the state of his plastic compression fittings - fitting inspect for cracks and make sure the planting density hose on it. Stretching to the fitting hose must not be deformed unevenly, causing the loss of vacuum. 4. A short segment of the vacuum hose inside diameter of about 7 mm is a beautiful stethoscope with which is easy enough to identify the source of the loss of vacuum. One end of the hose is pressed against the surface of the auditee, the second - to the ear. Dilution losses are always accompanied by a hiss. | When listening components Avoid touching the moving parts so within the engine compartment as belts, blades of the impeller, and the like! |

Fuel hoses
| | At service of components of the power system should not forget that gasoline is extremely flammable liquids least. Do not smoke near the place of work, do not approach it with an open fire! Immediately collect all traces of spilled fuel, lubricants fold soaked rags in a place where it is absolutely ruled out the likelihood of accidental fire! Always keep a fire extinguisher in the class! Try to avoid contact with gasoline on exposed skin - prolonged contact of this type can lead to cancer. Remember that the path of the fuel injection system is always under positive internal pressure that must be compulsorily reset to the start of the work (see chap. The power supply system and release). |
1. Check all rubber fuel hoses for signs of aging material and other defects. Pay special attention to areas of inflection and the area immediately in front put on fittings on the ends. 2. As a replacement lines should be used only high-quality fuel hoses. In no event should not be placed in the path of non-enhanced power vacuum hoses, transparent plastic tube or garden hoses. 3. Usually for fixing the fuel hose fittings are used on spring-type clamps. Such collars lose strength over time, his landing, in addition, often suddenly come off when disconnecting the hose. It would be wise to replace this kind of clamps more reliable and secure, or worm screw. |

Metal lines
| 1. Sections of metal tubing are frequently used as fuel lines. Carefully check all the hard fuel lines for dents, kinks or other deformities. Make sure there are no cracks and signs of the beginning of their education. 2. If any of the sections of the metal lines to be replaced, is used as a replacement only a seamless steel pipe. Copper and aluminum tubes are not suitable for use as a replacement, as it does not provide adequate resistance to vibrations occurring in the system during engine operation. 3. Inspect the metal brake pipes to connect them to the ground and the GTZ-limiter valve (if applicable). Pay attention to the defects such as cracks, try to identify the signs of loosening fasteners. In case of any signs of leaks, immediately check the condition of the entire brake system. |
