Check and replacement of the valve system controlled crankcase ventilation (PCV)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The system provides output PCV crankcase gases through a special valve through a hose back to the intake pipe where it enters the combustion chamber and burned during normal engine operation.

2. PCV valve from the hose connected to it put in the back of the cylinder head cover.

3. When running at idle to warm up to normal operating temperature of the engine, pull up the valve and remove it with a hose connected from its landing nest in the cylinder head cover. Reconnect the hose to the valve.
4. Squeeze the finger to the aperture in the PCV valve - should be sensed vacuum, otherwise to verify patency of the hose connection at the inlet duct and the valve itself. Replace defective components.
5. When buying a new valve Make sure that it is posted in its motor size of your car. The right thing would be to directly compare the new valve with the engine removed from the old one.
