3. When running at idle to warm up to normal operating temperature of the engine, pull up the valve and remove it with a hose connected from its landing nest in the cylinder head cover. Reconnect the hose to the valve. 4. Squeeze the finger to the aperture in the PCV valve - should be sensed vacuum, otherwise to verify patency of the hose connection at the inlet duct and the valve itself. Replace defective components. 5. When buying a new valve Make sure that it is posted in its motor size of your car.
