Schedule routine maintenance of cars Nissan Maxima



Specified in this part of routine maintenance intervals of the car are designed to perform any owner of the vehicle all the necessary procedures. The duration of the intervals determined on the assumption that the vehicle is operated on a daily basis. In order to constantly maintain the vehicle in top form, some of the procedures at the request of the owner can be performed more often. Composers of the present Management believes that the ultimate power unit of the car and its other knots and systems can be achieved only if the conscientious attitude of the owner to care for your vehicle. We should not forget also about the need to maintain the presentation of the car in the event of its resale.

When driving in dusty conditions the area, a busy urban cycle (frequent short trips), as well as frequent towing a trailer, intervals of performance of procedures of routine maintenance should, if possible, reduced to a minimum.

Servicing of a new vehicle, in order to avoid violation of the factory warranty must be made on the company's service station manufacturer's vehicle.

Every 400 km (250 miles) or once a week (whichever comes first)

?� Check the level of the motor oil (see. Section Check of levels of liquids).
?� Check the engine coolant level (see. Section Check of levels of liquids).
?� Check the fluid level of the windscreen washer (see. Section Check of levels of liquids).
?� Check brake fluid level (see. Section Check of levels of liquids).
?� Check the tire condition and pressure of the pump (see. Section Check of a condition of tires and pressure of their rating).

Every 4800 km (3000 miles) or every 3 months (whichever comes first)

In addition to the checks in the previous section:

?� Check the level of liquid PAS (see. Section Checking the power steering fluid).
?� Check the ATF level AT (see. Section Check of level ATF automatic transmission).
?� Replace motor oil and oil filter (see. Section Replacement of impellent oil and the oil filter).

Every 12 000 km (7500 miles) run or time in 6 months (whichever comes first)

In addition to the checks in the previous section:

?� Check the condition of seat belts (see. Section Check of a condition of seat belts).
?� Check the condition of the wiper blades, if necessary to replace (see. Section Checking and replacing the wiper blades).
?� Check the battery and produces its maintenance (see. Section Inspection, maintenance and charge the battery).
?� Check the condition and the tension of drive belts, if necessary, make the appropriate adjustment (see. Section Condition check, adjustment of effort of a tension and replacement drive a belt).
?� Check the condition of all located in the engine compartment hoses, if necessary to replace (see. Section Checking and replacing located in the engine compartment hoses).
?� Check serviceability of functioning and condition of the components of the cooling system (see. Section Checking the status of the components of the cooling system).
?� Perform the rotation of the wheels (see. Section Rotation of wheels).

Every 24 000 km (15 000 miles) run or time in 12 months (whichever comes first)

In addition to the checks in the previous section:

?� Check the condition and serviceability of functioning of the power supply system (see. Section Checking the status of the power system components).
?� Check serviceability of functioning of brake system and the state of its components (see. Section Checking braking system). *
?� Check the condition of the components of the exhaust system (see. Section Checking the status of the components of the exhaust system).
?� Check level MTF Manual transmission (see. Section Checking the transmission oil Manual transmission).

Every 48,000 km (30,000 miles), or once every 24 months (whichever comes first)

In addition to the checks in the previous section:

?� Replace the air filter (see. Section Replacement of a filtering element of an air cleaner). *
?� Replace the fuel filter (see. Section Replacement of the fuel filter).
?� Replace the spark plugs (for candles conventional) (see. Section Check and replacement of spark plugs).
?� Check the condition of explosives candle wires, if necessary to replace, on models 1993 and 1994 Vol. Check the condition of the cover and the runner distributor (see. Section Checking and replacing the explosives candle wires, distributor cap and slider).
?� Check the condition of the valve PCV, in case of need make replacement (see. Section Check and replacement of the valve system controlled crankcase ventilation (PCV)).
?� Perform maintenance of the cooling system (draining, flushing and replacement of brake fluid) (see. Section Maintenance of the cooling system (emptying, washing and refueling)).
?� Replace ATF AT (see. Section Replacement ATF automatic transmission and final drive). **
?� Replace Manual transmission gear oil (see. Section Changing the transmission oil Manual transmission). **
?� Check the condition of the suspension components and steering gear, and protective covers CV joints drive shafts (see. Section Checking the suspension components and the steering linkage).

Through every 96 000 km (60 000 miles) run or time in 48 months (whichever comes first)

?� Check the installation of the valve clearance, if necessary, make the appropriate adjustments (on models from 1995 no. Only with an increase in the background noise of the valve mechanism) (see chap. Engine).
?� Check the condition and serviceability of functioning of valve EGR (see. Section Checking the valve EGR).
?� Replace the spark plugs (for platinum spark) (see. Section Check and replacement of spark plugs).
?� Check the condition / Replace timing belt - models 1993 and 1994 Vol. (see chap. Engine).
* When driving in stressful conditions, follow all procedures marked with every 4800 km (3000 miles) or every 3 months (whichever comes first).

Energized refers to the following conditions:


- Very dusty areas;
- Towing a trailer;
- Long-term operation of the engine at idle speed / low speeds;
- Low ambient temperature (below 0 ?� C) in combination with short trips (shorter than 6 km [4 mi]).
** When operating the vehicle in any of the following conditions, marked with two asterisks procedures should be performed every 24 000 km (15 000 miles) run:
- Intense urban cycle at high ambient temperatures (over 32 ?� C);
- Movement in hilly or mountainous terrain;
- Frequent trailer towing.
