Checking the components of the exhaust system

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having waited full cooling of the exhaust system (after at least three hours after stopping the engine), carefully inspect all of its components, ranging from the flange front pipe to the exhaust manifold, and ending with the exhaust outlet. In order to ensure free access by car post it with a winch, or pound on a platform or a viewing hole.
2. Check the section of the system and place their joints for signs of leakage of exhaust gases, corrosion and mechanical damage. Make sure of the reliability of a tightening of fixture. Check the condition and strength of the attachment brackets and rubber suspension system components.

A - Front Pipe
In - rubber surround
C - Catalytic converter

A - Silencer
B - Connection flange zadnihsektsy
C - Exhaust pipe

3. At the same time check the bottom of the vehicle for the presence of holes, traces of corrosion, differences welds and other damage, enabling the spent gases to penetrate into the interior of the vehicle. Seal all holes detected silicone or normal body filler.
4. Rumble and many other noises while driving are often a consequence of weakening of fixture components of the exhaust system, or the displacement of its sections. Carefully check the condition of the brackets and hangers, tug pipe muffler and catalytic converter, making sure they are not in contact with the elements of the bottom or suspension. If necessary, replace components of the system supports.
5. On appearance of the exhaust pipe can be a high degree of reliability to evaluate the overall operation of the engine. The consistency and color of the cover end of the pipe sediments reveal the violation of regulations of the engine. If the pipe is covered with black soot deposits or plaque formed on it a whitish color, the engine, coupled with the power supply system needs to be set up.
