PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The easiest way to perform disassembly of the engine, setting it on a portable stand mounting. Such a device can always be relatively inexpensive to borrow in the workshop car service. Before you fix the engine on the stand must remove the flywheel / drive plate.
2. If there is no opportunity to use a stand, dismantling should be done by placing the engine on a solid workbench or get him safely on the hard floor of the garage. When working without a stand, make sure that the motor is accidentally tipped over.
3. If you are going to replace the engine of recovery, remove from the old all hinged units and external components and transfer them to the replacement unit. Among such subject permutation components include:

a) Generator with brackets;
b) Components of reducing emissions;
c) The distributor of ignition, spark plug wires, and spark - SOHC engine
d) The thermostat housing with a lid;
e) water pump;
f) The components of the injection (EFI);
g) Intake manifold and exhaust manifolds;
h) Oil Filter
i) Supports the suspension of the power unit;
j) Flywheel / drive plate;
k) The back plate of the engine - engines SOHC;
l) The holder of crankshaft rear oil seal.

When removing the old engine with external components, try to memorize the characteristics of their installation. Secure seating position in the notebook gaskets, seals, spacers and bushings, pins, brackets, washers, bolts and other small parts.

4. When choosing a circuit using abbreviated dialing unit consisting of cylinder with installed to the crankshaft and the connecting rod and piston group, remove from the old unit and the cylinder head, oil sump and the oil pump (possible alternative schemes perform overhaul cm. Section Alternatives schemes of regenerative repair of the engine).
5. When carrying out a complete overhaul of the old unit, make disassembly and remove all internal components. Below is the optimal order of execution procedures disassembly of the engine:

Engines SOHC

a) Cover the cylinder heads;
b) Build a rocker with axes;
c) valve lifters with the assembly rails;
d) the timing cover bolts;
e) the timing (gas distribution belt with gears);
f) The cylinder heads;
g) camshafts;
h) of the oil pan with maslozabornikom;
i) oil pump;
j) the connecting rod-piston assembly;
k) The crankshaft and main bearings;

Engines DOHC

a) Cover the cylinder heads;
b) stamped section of the oil pan;
c) The aluminum cast section of the oil pan;
d) The front timing cover;
e) The components of the timing (main and secondary circuits with asterisks);
f) The rear timing cover;
g) The camshafts with valve lifters;
h) The cylinder heads;
i) oil pump maslozabornikom;
j) the connecting rod-piston assembly;
k) The crankshaft and the crankshaft bearings.
6 Before disassembling the motor, prepare the following required materials and tools (see. Also section engine assembly order):
a) The standard set of plumbing tools;
b) A set of cardboard or plastic containers / plastic bags for organized storage of small components;
c) Stripping Scraper gasket mating surfaces;
d) Removal step countersink wear at the top of the cylinder;
e) puller for removing vibration damper;
f) Set micrometers;
g) Telescopic bore gauge;
h) Reserve dial gauge plunger type (DTI);
i) A tool to compress the valve springs;
j) Hon for processing of mirrors of cylinders;
k) A tool for cleaning grooves for installation of piston rings;
l) electric drill;
m) A set of taps and button dies;
n) wire brush;
o) Cylindrical brushes to clean the oil galleries;
p) solvent.
