Check of serviceability of functioning and replacement of the instrument panel switches

Considered in this manual car models are equipped with additional safety (SRS). Before proceeding with any work near the airbag unit, steering column and instrument panel, disconnect SRS to avoid injury at its casual operation. Wiring of chain SRS is easy for distinguishing on yellow color of isolation.

Switches mounted in the instrument cluster trim panel

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect SRS. The instrument cluster trim panel encased several switches. To the left of the steering column is a switch of management of functioning of the electric mirrors, the main switch Tempostat (On / Off), and (when appropriate vehicle) control lamp anti-theft system and the switch fog lamps. To the right of the steering wheel are leather adjusting the intensity of illumination of devices and models 1993 and 1994 vol.) Switch alarm. On models since 1995 Vol. hazard switch is placed in the central part of the panel.

2. Each of the switches can be removed from the front panel by poddevaniya screwdriver. Note: To avoid damaging the panels wrap the screwdriver tape. Simple switches, such as switch fog lamps, must demonstrate the conductivity between terminals 2-pin connector only when the ignition is switched on. Between terminals 3-pole control the intensity of the instrument lighting conductivity should take place in any position of the ignition key except OFF.

3. Unleashing the switch from the panel, disconnect the wiring harness.
4. Check the conductivity distribution between the connector terminals. Faulty assembly replace.
