Check of serviceability of functioning and replacement of the steering column switch
| Considered in this manual car models are equipped with additional safety (SRS). Before proceeding with any work near the airbag unit, steering column and instrument panel, disconnect SRS to avoid injury at its casual operation. Wiring of chain SRS is easy for distinguishing on yellow color of isolation. |
Combination switch
CHECK | 1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and wait at least three minutes before starting to dismantle lining. | If installed on the car stereo is equipped with a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action! |
2. Remove the combination switch assembly (see. Below subsection Replacement). 3. Using an ohmmeter, or equipped with individual power supply lamp probe check the distribution of conductivity between the terminals switch in its various locations.

4. In case of violations, replace the switch. |

REPLACEMENT | 1. 2. Remove the steering wheel (see chap. Suspension and steering). 3. Remove the driver's knee stress and covers the column cover (see chap. Body).
| 4. Remove the four screws and remove the combined switch spring contact driver airbag (see chap. Suspension and steering). Unscrew the combination switch assembly. |
| 5. Remove the combination switch assembly from the steering column and disunite wiring connectors. |
| 6. Remove the screws that secure the individual switches to be replaced and remove the latter from the housing of the combination switch. |
7. Connect the new switch to the terminal connector, - track reliability of fixing the assembly block. 8. Further assemblage is carried out in the reverse order of dismantle of components. Description of the installation procedure of the spring contact of the airbag is provided in Chapter Suspension and steering. |

Switches speed control system
CHECK | 1. Panel control switches functioning Tempostat (except ON / OFF switch) is set to the right on the steering wheel of the car.
| 2. Remove the switch (see. Below). Using an ohmmeter, or equipped with individual power supply lamp probe check the distribution of conductivity between the terminals switch in its various locations. |

3. Defective switch must be replaced. |

2. hooked threaded into a groove with a screwdriver, remove the cover panel.
| 3. Remove the mounting screws and remove the switch assembly and unplug it from the electrical wiring. |
4. Install in the reverse order. |
