Power front seats - the general data and check of serviceability of functioning
As an optional extra the front seats of the car can be equipped with an electric drive. The drive allows you to adjust the seat cushion height and backrest.
The system includes a drive motor mounted in the assembly seat control switch, circuit breaker number 1 (left under the dashboard) and the fuse F on 30 and in the cabin assembly block.
Look under the seat and make sure that nothing prevents it from moving.
If the drive does not function at all, check the fuse (see. Section Fuses and fuses - general information).
Do not start the engine at the hearing check if the operation of the drive motors in all operating modes designed into the actuator.
If the engine is running or the clicks are heard, however, the seat on the move, you should check the status of the drive mechanism. Replace the electric motor assembly.
If the engine does not produce any sound, check the supply voltage to it (ask the assistant pomanipulirovat switch).
At serviceable power is applied to the electric motor, remove it from the car and check by direct connection to the battery. If necessary, replace.
If the voltage is missing, check the power supply to the switch assembly. If necessary, reassess the wiring in the area between the switch and fuse box mounting. At serviceable power supply remove the switch and check the correctness of distribution of conductivity between terminals in different positions. Replacement of defective assembly.
If the switch is in order, check for any signs of breakage or short circuit wiring on the circuit between the switch and the electric motor.
Having finished the refurbishment, repeat the test.
