Removal and installation of assemblage of a rotary fist with a nave

REMOVAL | 1. Remove the decorative cover disk or cover the hub nut. Remove the cotter pin and press box lock washer, then loosen the hub nut (see chap. Coupling and power shafts). | If the end cap does not go into the hole in the center of the wheel, temporarily replace the last spare tire. |
2. Loosen the wheel nuts, Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props. Remove the wheel. 3. Remove the brake caliper and the brake disk (see chap. Brake System). Release the brake hose from the bracket on the rack assembly. On ABS-equipped models, disconnect the wiring and remove the wheel sensor. 4. Give nuts strut to knuckle, however, did not knock out until the mounting bolts. 5. Release the lever from the steering knuckle tie rod end (see. Section Removal and installation of tips of steering drafts). 6. Release the ball joint from the knuckle assembly (see. Section Removal and installation of the front suspension control arm). 7. Knock out the mounting bolts and separate the knuckle assembly from the rack at the same time pushing the pin of the drive shaft from the hub (if the shaft is "stuck with" Use a hammer and brass knockout). Tie liberated drive shaft wire to the suspension elements. |

INSTALLATION | 1. Grease the pins of the drive shaft splines multi-purpose grease. Get the knuckle assembly on the regular place, insert a pin in the hub of the drive shaft. 2. Fill a fist into the flange rack, insert the bolts, then maybe, but not to over-tighten fixing nuts. 3. Connect the lever arm to knuckle (see. Section Removal and installation of the front suspension control arm). 4. Fill in the arm knuckle tie rod end (see. Section Removal and installation of tips of steering drafts). Tighten the nuts with demanded effort bolts attaching the stand, as well as fixing support to the lever and pull the tip nut. 5. Install the brake disc on the hub and the other components of the brake (see chap. Brake System). 6. Screw the hub nut and tighten it firmly, but not yet final. 7. Install the wheel. Lower the car to the ground and tighten the wheel nuts to the required torque (see chap. Adjustment and routine maintenance). 8. Finally tighten with demanded effort Hub nut, do not forget to fix it with a new cotter pin (see chap. Coupling and power shafts). |
