Removal, check of a condition and installation of the rear suspension struts



PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Support the front wheel chock. Loosen the wheel nuts, Poddomkratte back of the car and establish it on props. Remove the rear wheels.
2. Otboltite from the front support bracket of a brake hose. On models equipped with ABS, remove the coupling bolt clamp and separate from the front wheel speed sensor wiring harness.
3. Disconnect the hydraulic hoses, remove the brake caliper and the brake disk (see chap. Brake System). Attach the wire to the support member or bottom of the suspension, - try not to allow the tension of the brake hose.
4. If the rack needs to be replaced, remove the hub assembly with the wheel bearing.
5. Remove the rack from the longitudinal and transverse links (see. Section Removal and installation of levers of a back suspension bracket (model 1993 and 1994 vol.)).
6. Open the trunk and remove the appropriate trim panels to provide access to fasteners upper support rack assembly.
7. Remove the rubber cover strut. Ask the assistant to hold the rack-mount assembly and give the upper mounting nuts. Remove the assembly from the vehicle through the wheel arch. If the rack needs to be replaced, disconnect it from the trailing arm bracket and move on replaceable assembly. make sure that the fixture has been tightened with demanded effort.

CHECK

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Proceed in accordance with the instructions given in sections 6 and 7 of Section Removal, check of a condition and installation of rack-mount front suspension assemblies. Description disassembly procedures rack (when it be necessary). See Section Replacing the strut / coil spring rack assembly.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Using the help of an assistant, get a rack on the regular place under the wheel arch and gently slide the studs to support the upper body retaliatory holes. Screw, but do not tighten yet retaining nuts.
2. Connect to the front longitudinal and transverse links (see. Section Removal and installation of levers of a back suspension bracket (model 1993 and 1994 vol.)). Support the rear suspension jack, head past a trailing arm bracket - components should be posted on a normal working height. Tighten the transverse and longitudinal arm with demanded effort.
3. Secure the front support bracket of a brake hose. On models with ABS, set the bracket wheel sensor wiring.
4. Install the wheel, lower the car on the earth and tighten wheel nuts with demanded effort (see chap. Adjustment and routine maintenance).
5. Tighten the nuts with demanded effort the top support of a rack. Replace the panel of an internal upholstery luggage.

Models from 1995 MY.

REMOVAL

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Support the front wheel chock. Loosen the wheel nuts, Poddomkratte back of the car and establish it on props. Remove the rear wheels.

2. Give a nut screws on the lower end of the shock absorber assembly to the rear axle.

3. Nuts upper support rack assembly located inside the luggage compartment - Remove the appropriate panel of an internal upholstery. Ask the assistant to hold the assembly and give the upper mounting nuts. Remove the rack from the car through the wheel arch.

CHECK

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Act in accordance with the instructions given in sections 6 and 7 of Section Removal, check of a condition and installation of rack-mount front suspension assemblies.
2. Description of the disassembly procedures rack (if it be necessary). See Section Replacing the strut / coil spring rack assembly.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Using the help of an assistant, get a rack on the regular place under the wheel arch and gently slide the studs to support the upper body retaliatory holes. Screw, but do not tighten yet retaining nuts.
2. Connect the lower end of the shock absorber assembly to the rear axle, insert into the holes fixing bolt. Support the suspension jack, output components at normal working height and tighten the nut fixing bolts with demanded effort.

Jack should start under the trailing arm bracket, - in any case under the arms!

3. Tighten the nut to the required torque of the top support strut. Replace the panel of an internal upholstery luggage.
